Lynne was born in Aberdeen in 1945. Moved to Edinburgh in 1960 and later immigrated to Cape Town, South Africa.

Later in life she started prospective drawing and painting at the Ruth Prowse School of Art. She was taught eventually by Ryno Swart who was "Her Best teacher ever". She has experimented with pastel, oil and watercolour.

There is a huge demand for her work in South Africa and it has been widely sold to private collections in the UK and Europe.
